About Me
My name is Michaela and I am originally from Bulgaria but I have been living in the United Kingdom for over 8 years. I am a scientist by training, but I am passionate about rhythmic gymnastics and decided to write a blog about it.

I do a lot of physical exercise myself, mostly cycling, circuit training, HIIT and yoga, and I have experienced the amazing benefit of training for the body and for the mind. I think exercise should be for everyone, not just for professional athletes!

I also dance classical ballet and I adore the artform. I watch a lot of classical ballet, I love reading about it and watching interviews with ballet dancers and choreographers to understand the details behind the story and the creative process.

I speak Bulgarian, English and Spanish, and I understand some Russian language, too. If you would like to get in touch for a collaboration, click on the ‘Contact’ section of this website. I would love to hear from you.

About the Blog
I created Melody RG because I want to share my love for rhythmic gymnastics with others who are dedicated fans or who are new to the sport and would like to learn more about it.

Through my writing, I hope to give justice to the tremendous effort professional gymnasts go through to achieve excellence. I aspire for my writing to capture the beauty of rhythmic gymnastics and for each of my posts to embody the uniqueness of the athlete and routine to which it is dedicated.

It is my ambition to inspire an international community of readers who appreciate the sport and celebrate the beauty that inherently springs from it.

I hope you enjoy this blog!
